This is Jennifer Vigilant-Eye-of-God St. Wylde-Beasts-Shall-Not-Harm-Ye, who is from a world inspired by the Deathworld stories. The settlers on her home planet became religious fanatics as a way of coping with the ever-present danger. Where there are only the quick and the dead, Jenny chose to be quick.
